Through December 2027, Medicare covers Wegovy, Zepbound KwikPen and Foundayo for weight management through the GLP-1 Bridge. It has its own prior auth, a signed attestation, a 72-hour clock and no appeals. This kit gives your office the screener, chart note, scripts, letters and tracker to handle it.
The Bridge runs outside Part D, with its own eligibility rules based on BMI when the GLP-1 was first started. Patients with type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea or MASH have to go through Part D instead, and some plan types are excluded. The prior auth can only be filed after the pharmacy claim exists. A wrong answer means a denial, and you can’t appeal it, only resubmit.
This kit turns those rules into a routine your front desk and MAs can follow every time.
Obesity-medicine, primary care and DPC practices prescribing GLP-1s to Medicare patients: clinicians, MAs and prior-auth staff.
An editable Word file, a 10-page print-ready PDF and an Excel tracker. Instant download. Licensed for use within one practice.
The free checklist explains the rules. The kit is what your team uses every day: the screener, chart note, scripts, letters and the tracker that watches the deadlines.
The Bridge only covers Medicare patients. For commercial prior auths and appeals, see the GLP-1 Prior Auth & Appeal Letter Kit.
Yes. CMS can update the Bridge at any time. The kit was checked against CMS guidance in October 2026; confirm current rules on the CMS Bridge pages.
The Obesity & Weight-Management app builds the note and the justification from the encounter you tapped.
